How Can You Make A Difference?

Computers & Office Equipment

Enable power-save mode for computers, printers, copiers, and other appropriate office equipment
Turn off monitors, printers and other office equipment whenever possible — screen savers DO NOT save energy
Avoid reprints by using the "print preview" option before printing
Consolidate and share underused office equipment
Eliminate non-essential office equipment
Use recycled paper products
Reduce waste - reuse one-sided office paper, use double sided print functions when possible, eliminate or use "post it" fax cover sheet, and always recycle
Check with your departmental IT professional about turning off your computer nightly
