Student Initiatives Photovoltaic Array and Green Roof - Business Instructional Facility Project Description This project was a supplement to the campus Business Instructional Facility (BIF) Sustainable Energy Project . Equipment known as a photovoltaic (PV) array supports the LEED®-Gold design of the building by converting solar energy into electricity. The 3,700 square foot photovoltaic (PV) array produces approximately 55,000 kwh of electricity per year, or 5% to 7% of the annual consumption of the new facility.
