- Triple pane windows with interstitial blinds
- Enhanced envelope insulation
- Shading devices
- Native planting
- Vegetative roof areas
- Reduced storm water runoff
- Reduced usage plumbing fixtures
- Photovoltaic array
The facility was designed to consume as much as 75% less energy, on average, than older campus buildings and as much as 40% less energy than a new facility designed to the University's current facilities standards.
Funding/Budget
Total project funding for the Business Instructional Facility was provided through a combination of corporate sponsor and donor funds with institutional financing for the remaining funds.
